1. Our commitment

Shalom Musiq exists to serve worship communities, and that shapes how we treat your information: we collect what the service needs, we explain what we do with it, and we never sell it. This policy covers the website, web apps, ShalomCast, and our assistive AI features.

2. What we collect

Information you give us: account details (name, email, phone, country, language), church or team membership, products you purchase, lessons you watch, setlists you build, services you book, and anything you submit through forms.

Information collected automatically: device and usage data, approximate location (for currency and catalog relevance), and diagnostic logs.

ShalomSync telemetry: when a church uses lyric sync, we log sync events and operator corrections (which section played, when slides advanced or were corrected). This telemetry is about the performance of the software — it is not a recording of your service. Raw microphone audio for on-device matching is processed on the device and is not uploaded.

3. How we use it

We use your information to deliver purchases and licenses, run subscriptions and seats, personalise recommendations, provide and improve ShalomCast and the AI features (operator corrections train better sync), prevent fraud and piracy (including purchaser watermarking of downloads), and communicate service updates. Marketing messages are opt-in and separately controllable.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Paynow (Zimbabwe), PayFast (South Africa), Stripe, and PayPal. Card and wallet details go directly to those providers — Shalom Musiq never stores your card number. We keep transaction references, amounts, and the exchange rate applied, for receipts and audit.

5. When we share

We share data only with the service providers who run the platform (hosting, payments, email and messaging, video streaming, analytics, error monitoring), under contracts limiting use to our instructions; with creators, in aggregate sales reporting that never identifies individual buyers; and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, your rights are protected by POPIA (South Africa), the Data Protection Act (Zimbabwe), or GDPR (EU/UK diaspora users). In all cases you can: access the data we hold about you, correct it, export it, object to processing, and delete your account and data via /delete-account. We respond to requests within 30 days.

7. How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is role-restricted and logged. Download links are signed and time-limited. We review our security practices regularly and will notify affected users and regulators of any breach as the law requires.

8. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active, transaction records for the period financial law requires, and ShalomSync telemetry in aggregate, de-identified form for service improvement. When you delete your account we remove or anonymise personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

9. Children and youth teams

The platform is intended for users 16 and over. Younger worship-team members should participate through a church account administered by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Contact us

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, write to support@shalommusiq.com, use the contact form, or request account deletion at /delete-account.
