1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Shalom Musiq — the website, web apps, ShalomCast, and related services — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of a church or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What Shalom Musiq provides

Shalom Musiq is a Christian music and media platform offering: a Store of digital music products (backtracks, loops, patches, drum kits, charts); an Academy of video lessons and courses; production Services (mixing, mastering, production, videography) delivered by our team; ShalomCast, a worship presentation tool; and assistive AI features such as ShalomSync lyric sync, lyrics translation, and stem separation. Every catalog item is performed by named human musicians — we do not sell AI-generated music.

3. Accounts and church teams

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. Church and team plans include member seats administered by a church admin; each member needs their own sign-in. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

4. Purchases, downloads and licenses

Purchased products are licensed, not sold. Each product states its license: personal use, commercial use, or worship/church use. Worship-use licenses cover performance and playback in services, rehearsals, and church livestreams of the purchasing church, and include the indemnification described on the product page.

You may re-download purchases from My Library indefinitely. You may not share, resell, redistribute, or upload purchased files to other platforms. Downloads carry an inaudible purchaser watermark used solely to trace unauthorised distribution.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Subscription tiers (Starter through Church Enterprise) bill monthly or annually in USD, with ZAR and ZiG options at checkout via Paynow, PayFast, Stripe, or PayPal. Download credits reset each billing period and do not roll over unless your plan says otherwise. You can cancel anytime; access to subscription-included content ends with the paid period, while outright purchases remain yours.

6. Creator marketplace

Creators who upload products keep ownership of their work and grant Shalom Musiq a distribution license. Revenue is shared per the published creator terms, with monthly payouts above the minimum threshold. Creators warrant that submitted work is their own human performance, properly cleared, and accurately attributed. If assistive AI tools are ever applied to catalog content, original creators are compensated per use, as published in our creator pact.

7. Intellectual property

The platform, its design, software, and catalog are protected by copyright and other laws. Product provenance information (performer name, region, language) is part of the work’s attribution and must not be removed or misrepresented. Song lyrics displayed in ShalomCast remain the property of their rights holders and are licensed for congregational display.

8. AI features and acceptable use

Our AI features assist human worship — they listen, sync, translate, and separate stems. You may not use the platform to train competing models, scrape the catalog, automate bulk downloads, or present AI output as human performance. ShalomSync session telemetry (sync events and operator corrections) is processed to improve the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Prohibited uses

You may not: share or redistribute purchased files; circumvent licensing, watermarking, or access controls; upload unlawful, infringing, or hateful content; misuse the Services booking system; interfere with the platform’s operation; or use the platform in violation of applicable law in your jurisdiction.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shalom Musiq’s aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for interruptions caused by third-party providers, or for outcomes of live use of assistive features — the operator always retains manual control.

11. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, where Shalom Musiq (Pty) Ltd is incorporated, with services in Zimbabwe provided through our Zimbabwean branch. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
